CECE had a busy week attending Climate Week NYC 2026. CECE Director Dana R. Fisher kicked off the week at an event cosponsored by TED Countdown, the Wellcome Trust, and the Conspirators on Sunday where she spoke on a panel about what it takes to turn attention into action.
On Monday, CECE released our new report “Mapping the Ecosystem of Climate Communication in the US and Canada: A Landscape Assessment” by Director Dana R. Fisher, Assistant Director W. Chris Jayko, and collaborating researcher Lorien Jasny of the University of Exeter, which was conducted in partnership with the Talking Climate Collaborative (TCC). In conjunction with this report, Dana Fisher and Katharine Hayhoe published an Op-Ed in TIME Magazine entitled “We Need to Stop Talking Like Climate Change Is Partisan.” Dr. Fisher discussed both pieces in the TCC event Who’s Really Talking about Climate?
Later in the week, Director Fisher and Assistant Director Jayko visited the NEST Campus, a gathering space dedicated to defining and accelerating the resilience economy.
At the NEST Campus, Dr. Fisher participated in a We Don’t Have Time panel discussion with TCC founders Katharine Hayhoe and Bernadette Woods Placky on The State of Climate Communication, where they discussed our new landscape assessment report. You can watch the full discussion here:
