CECE-CEF Partnership

CECE-CEF Partnership
The Center for Environmental Filmmaking (CEF) created content as a part of our Workforce Development and the 4Rs project. CEF Executive Director Maggie Stogner and Associate Director Larry Engel lead a team of students in producing two short documentaries about CECE’s work studying disaster response, recovery, and community resilience. They produced two short films:
1) When Communities Need Us Most: Empowering AmeriCorps Partners to Lead in Times of Crisis. This film features AmeriCorps partner program leaders, state commission directors, and AmeriCorps alumni and leaders as they share firsthand accounts of their experiences in crisis response.
2) Workforce Development and the 4R’s in Washington State. This film focuses on ways our research team are working to evaluate federally coordinated service corps and volunteer programs that support community resilience and disaster response and recovery around the US.
