
James Lee
Researcher-in-Residence, Environment, Development, and Health
James Lee is a Researcher-in-Residence at the School of International Service at American University in Washington, DC. He is the author of numerous articles, reports, and research papers on trade, environment, conflict, and culture, and directs the Inventory of Conflict and Environment (ICE) project. His recent books include “Environmental Conflict and Cooperation: Premise, Purpose, Conflict, and Cooperation” and “Climate Change and Armed Conflict: Hot and Cold Wars.” His article, with Dr. Kisei Tanaka, “Climate Change, Conflict, and Moving Borders,” was awarded as best of the year by the International Journal of Climate Change.
