David Bartlett
David Bartlett joined the Kogod School of Business in 2014. Bartlett served as Director of Kogod’s MSSM (Master of Science in Sustainability Management) program from 2019-2024. He currently serves as Director of the MSIRB (Master of Science in International Relations and Business) program. Prior to his appointment at Kogod, Bartlett held faculty positions at the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota and Vanderbilt University as well as visiting professorships at Tamkang University (Taiwan), Yerevan State University (Armenia), and the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (Uzbekistan).
Bartlett’s research and teaching focus on international corporate strategy with special attention to global sustainability, emerging markets, and technology innovation. His recent publications include articles on agro-tech cluster formation (Journal of Business & Economic Policy), emerging market startups (Journal of Small Business Strategy), and innovations in financial technology (International Journal of Business and Economic Development). Bartlett’s awards include a Fulbright Scholarship, a Salzburg Seminar Fellowship, and the ASEES/SSRC’s Hewett Prize for the Outstanding Publication on the Political Economy of Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union. In 2023, he was awarded the Page Grand Prize for Sustainability Issues in Business Curriculum by the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. Bartlett’s current research focuses on electric vehicles, vertical farming, and sustainable supply chains.
